If you’ve been following along this year, you already know I’ve been pouring my heart (and probably too many iced coffees) into leveling up my senior photography game. 2025 has been my year of really leaning into what I love most; capturing seniors in a way that feels authentic, bold, and so them.
And today, I get to share something I’m unbelievably proud of…
One of my senior images was officially published in Senior Muse Magazine!
Cue the happy dancing. And maybe a few tears.
(Photographer feelings are real, okay?)
The featured image was from Carly’s session back in July. She showed up with confidence, personality, and the exact kind of energy that makes a session magic. This photo wasn’t just a pretty portrait; it captured her spirit, her style, and that effortless senior-year glow.
When I pressed the shutter, I knew it was special.
But seeing Senior Muse Magazine choose it for publication?
That’s a whole different level of “wow.”
Being published is an honor in itself, but this one hits differently. Senior Muse Magazine is known for showcasing some of the most creative, talented senior photographers around the country. To be included alongside artists I admire is surreal.
It’s also a reminder that the hard work; the marketing, creative growth, late-night editing marathons, and showing up for my seniors matters. It’s paying off.
I’m not always the best at slowing down and celebrating the small (or big!) wins. But this one deserves a little brag moment.
It also fuels me to keep pushing, keep creating, and keep giving my seniors the experience they deserve. Whether it’s a bold editorial vibe, golden-hour magic, or something that showcases their quirks and passions, I want every senior session to feel magazine-worthy.
Thank you.
For trusting me.
For showing up with ideas, dreams, and the confidence to be yourselves.
You make my job incredible.
And Carly- girl, you rocked it.
~Katie
